Nobody should be forced to flee their home for being who they are or loving who they love.

In many countries around the world, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals face severe discrimination and violence due to their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

In approximately 70 countries, consensual same-sex relationships are criminalized, exposing millions of individuals to the risk of arrest, prosecution and imprisonment – and even, in at least six countries, the death penalty.

Many LGBTQ+ individuals often have no other choice but to flee their countries of origin in search for a safer and better life. In recent decades, the number of LGBTQ+ refugees and asylum-seekers has risen.

LGBTQ+ immigrants are valued and loved members of our communities. We are proud to serve and support LGBTQ+ immigrants and thank our supporters for welcoming them into our communities with compassion and love.

This Pride Month it’s important that we advocate for and protect LGBTQ+ refugees and asylum seekers.

Join us in calling for a world free of LGBTQ+ persecution.

Celebrate with Pride!
